It has become increasingly clear in our contemporary world that higher education research, and innovation have become the most important factors for building modern civilizations, driving their economies, fueling their growth and sustainability. They are the main tools for empowering generations and equipping them with the skills and capabilities that will harness their creative energies in serving their communities, meeting their needs, and keeping pace with the rapid changes and developments that occur in our fast-changing and evolving present age.
As the Sultanate of Oman is currently witnessing a renewed renaissance built on a careful study of reality and a bold and wise outlook for the future based on a clear vision, which is the Vision Oman 2040, the Ministry of Higher Education Research and Innovation is determined to move forward in improving the quality of higher education, enhancing the efficiency of education and vocational training, and establishing a productive research culture based on conducting applied research that seeks to find innovative solutions to the challenges facing various sectors. It also aims to provide proposals and plans to develop these sectors to ensure their sustainability and advance towards the knowledge economy, utilizing all of this to establish an effective system for innovation and entrepreneurship that results in the creation of startup companies based on modern technologies generated by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
